On August 12th (3-6pm) and August 29 (9am-noon), join us for one of the County’s Emergency Operations Center Open Houses to get a behind-the-scenes look at how first responders work together under one roof. Especially during this El Nino year, you’ll learn more about the resources available to help keep you and your family safe. It’s a great opportunity to stay informed, get prepared, and strengthen our community’s resilience together. The address is 4408 Cathedral Oaks Road.

Santa Barbara County has taken an important step forward with a community resource that sends out emergency updates and information. The Genasys evacuation app is a critical resource to stay up to date on evacuation warnings or orders, nearby shelters, and road closures. It gets down to the neighborhood level, so it's a valuable resource for you, your family, and your neighbors to use.
